weElevateIT is seeking a Senior Data Visualization Designer to support a federal defense audit readiness engagement, building actionable performance dashboards, executive reporting, and operational scorecards in Qlik. The role involves partnering with data engineers to transform governed lakehouse data into clear, decision-driving visuals for senior leadership and auditors. The ideal candidate combines strong visualization craft, UX judgment, and data fundamentals, and can operate effectively across audit, accounting, data, and operations teams in a federal delivery environment.

What you'll do:

• Design and build actionable Qlik dashboards, executive views, and operational scorecards for senior leadership and auditor audiences.
• Translate financial and audit metrics—transaction volumes, root-cause categories, remediation status, and compliance indicators—into clear, interactive visualizations.
• Partner with data engineers on dashboard data models, KPI definitions, refresh logic, and dashboard performance.
• Establish visualization standards, layout patterns, and UX conventions appropriate for senior leadership consumption.
• Build drill-downs, filters, and self-service views that support triage operations and source-realignment reporting.
• Iterate dashboards across the sprint cadence; support dry-run testing, go-live readiness, and auditor walkthroughs.
• Ensure all visuals are audit-defensible and traceable to governed data sources.
• Document dashboard specifications, metric definitions, data sources, and refresh logic; partner with the Solution Architect, data engineers, and audit and accounting teams to align visualizations with reporting requirements.

Requirements

Required:

• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC), including a favorable federal background investigation; ability to obtain a Secret clearance is preferred for potential future scope changes.
• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Design, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data visualization or business intelligence dashboard development.
• Hands-on Qlik (Qlik Sense / QlikView) expertise with strong data-visualization and user-experience design skills.
• Active or in-progress certification in Qlik and Tableau or Power BI.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business and financial metrics into actionable dashboards and executive reporting.
• Solid SQL and data-modeling fundamentals.
• Experience supporting federal, defense, GovCon, or regulated environments.
• Strong documentation habits and ability to work in a delivery-focused, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred:

• Experience working with Databricks, Palantir, or comparable enterprise data platforms as visualization data sources.
• Familiarity with federal financial management, audit readiness, internal controls, or compliance reporting.
• Experience with Tableau or Power BI in addition to Qlik.
• Background in user-experience design, visual design, or executive data storytelling.
• Experience supporting operational scorecards, metric validation, or reporting data models.
