Procurement Officer | 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Procurement Officer to join a well-established organisation based in Sydney.

This is a varied role, with approximately 80% focused on procurement and procure-to-pay activities, alongside 20% accounting responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both operational finance and month-end accounting.

Key responsibilities include:

• Processing purchase orders in a high-volume environment
• Vendor onboarding, maintenance and master data management
• Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and Accounts Payable
• Supporting month-end processes, including journals, accruals and prepayments
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting with continuous process improvements across the finance function

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a procurement, P2P or finance role with strong purchase order processing experience
• Exposure to high-volume procurement environments
• Experience assisting with month-end accounting, including journals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience with Dynamics 365 (or similar ERP systems)
• Full Australian working rights
• Access to your own vehicle is essential.
