Description:Job Summary
The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing inventory control operations, with a primary focus on managing and directing cycle counting activities. This role ensures inventory accuracy, supports operational efficiency, and leads a team of cycle counters to maintain high standards of stock integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the work of cycle counters, including scheduling, training, and performance management
- Plan and execute cycle count programs to ensure accurate inventory records
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including root cause analysis
- Monitor inventory transactions and ensure proper documentation and system updates
- Collaborate with warehouse, receiving, shipping, and procurement teams to maintain inventory accuracy
- Analyze inventory data and generate reports on accuracy, trends, and variances
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and audit requirements
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory control processes
- Support physical inventory counts and audits as needed
- Maintain safety standards and promote a culture of accountability and accuracy
Qualifications
- Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- 35+ years of inventory control & warehouse experience, with supervisory experience preferred
- Strong understanding of inventory management systems (e.g., WMS, ERP)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
