Description
OPERATIONS – we conduct a variety of events that can be narrowed down to three categories: Public relations, raising money, or giving money.
Event planning/organizing & execution, including learning software platforms
Team leading/personnel management
Assist committee chairs, board members & officers
Attend training & educational workshops
MARKETING – Education foundations are not commonly understood or known organizations. As such we consistently seek to maintain a brand that is well known.
Brand promotion/public relations
Advertising & presentation for key events
Social media management
Professional networking both in and out of the school district
FINANCE – Our organization revolves around receiving and giving money. A basic understanding of finances is important. Especially in the sense of budgeting, making payments, and conducting business with great transparency/integrity.
Support fundraising
Donor management
Take & make payments (Invoicing)
Maintain a budget
ADMINISTRATION – Our volunteers are constantly working on different projects while in different places. Because of these dynamics there is a great need for organization and communication.
Maintain a calendar for the organization
Facilitate grants for and from the organization
Maintain the organization’s emails and other electronic correspondence
Note taking/record keeping
Maintain contact information (e.g. mailing lists, phone numbers, etc.)
LOGISTICS – With so many events and efforts taking place there is routinely a need for coordinating and moving and reserving a variety of supplies, transportation & facilities.
Oversee storage facility
Reserve event venues
Plan for the movement of materials/supplies
