Conducts independent examinations of commercial customer's collateral, financial statements, financial records and internal controls to assess credit quality and collateral values that secure loans for an assigned business / group portfolio. Provides regular reporting which summarizes findings and recommends valuation of companies that BMO makes leveraged loans to.

• Develops value estimates and makes recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.
• Provides advice and guidance to assigned business/group on implementation of enterprise valuations.
• Independently examines Borrower's books and records; assesses and verifies the potential value of the subject company.
• Verifies policies and standards, as defined by the approved borrowing/monitoring structure, are accurately applied and adhered to.
• Establishes the scope of enterprise valuation and other requirements with Account Managers; schedules and coordinates field work / exam dates and information gathering with the Borrower / prospect.
• Keeps Account Management and stakeholders informed of scheduled enterprise valuation reviews.
• Documents and reports results of independent valuation review on an individual and summary basis; identifies and recommends action plans for resolving issues.
• Identifies where corrective actions are required (e.g. unsupported forecast assumptions, comparable companies or transactions that are invalid, WACC inputs not adhering to bank guidelines, etc.) and escalates per guidelines; ensures corrective action is taken as necessary.
• Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
• Employs systems (e.g. intake forms, tracking reports etc.) to manage information.
• Integrates information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and/or streamlined reporting.
• Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
• Consults with stakeholders to improve consistency and transparency of risk measurement, metrics and reporting.
• Executes work to deliver timely, accurate, and service.
• Focus may be on a business/group.
• Thinks creatively and proposes new solutions.
• Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
• Works mostly independently.
• Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
  Qualifications:
• Typically between 1 - 3 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.

• Analytical and problem solving skills - In-depth.
• Influence skills - In-depth.

Salary:

$45,000.00 - $83,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.
