Conducts independent examinations of commercial customer's collateral, financial statements, financial records and internal controls to assess credit quality and collateral values that secure loans for an assigned business / group portfolio. Provides regular reporting which summarizes findings and recommends valuation of companies that BMO makes leveraged loans to.
- Develops value estimates and makes recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.
- Provides advice and guidance to assigned business/group on implementation of enterprise valuations.
- Independently examines Borrower's books and records; assesses and verifies the potential value of the subject company.
- Verifies policies and standards, as defined by the approved borrowing/monitoring structure, are accurately applied and adhered to.
- Establishes the scope of enterprise valuation and other requirements with Account Managers; schedules and coordinates field work / exam dates and information gathering with the Borrower / prospect.
- Keeps Account Management and stakeholders informed of scheduled enterprise valuation reviews.
- Documents and reports results of independent valuation review on an individual and summary basis; identifies and recommends action plans for resolving issues.
- Identifies where corrective actions are required (e.g. unsupported forecast assumptions, comparable companies or transactions that are invalid, WACC inputs not adhering to bank guidelines, etc.) and escalates per guidelines; ensures corrective action is taken as necessary.
- Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
- Employs systems (e.g. intake forms, tracking reports etc.) to manage information.
- Integrates information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and/or streamlined reporting.
- Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
- Consults with stakeholders to improve consistency and transparency of risk measurement, metrics and reporting.
- Executes work to deliver timely, accurate, and service.
- Focus may be on a business/group.
- Thinks creatively and proposes new solutions.
- Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
- Works mostly independently.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications: - Typically between 1 - 3 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.

Salary:
$45,000.00 - $83,000.00

The above represents BMO Financial Group's pay range and type.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
