Credit AnalystSydney CBD | $100,000 - $150,000 + Super | Full-Time
An established international banking organisation is seeking a Credit Analyst to join its Sydney-based Credit & Risk team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with corporate banking experience looking to further develop their credit analysis expertise within a collaborative, high-performing environment.
About the Role
Reporting into senior leadership within Credit & Risk, you will be responsible for conducting credit analysis, assessing lending proposals, preparing recommendations, and supporting ongoing portfolio risk management. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders both locally and internationally while contributing to policy improvements and broader credit initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete credit analysis, risk assessments and annual credit reviews for corporate lending facilities.
- Prepare and present credit recommendations in line with internal credit approval frameworks.
- Assess financial information and identify key risks within lending proposals.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and overseas teams to obtain information and support credit decisions.
- Assist with portfolio monitoring, credit policy updates and ad hoc risk projects.
- Prepare reporting and documentation for Credit Committee and other governance meetings.
- Support the ongoing development of lending and credit processes.
Essential Requirements
- Fluent in both Mandarin and English (written and verbal).
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of corporate banking experience, with exposure to credit analysis or lending.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to assess financial information and make sound credit recommendations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
Desirable
- 2-3 years' experience within corporate banking or institutional banking.
- Experience analysing credit for Australian corporate clients.
- Knowledge of local lending practices and credit risk management.
