BMO Harris Bank N.A. Seeks Specialist III-IC Financial Planning and Analysis (Irving, TX)

Duties: The Pricing team in BMO Transportation Finance (BMO TF) works cross functionally with the Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to provide deal pricing and structuring solutions for a variety of loan and lease products to ensure the economic returns are aligned with the goals of the line of business and the needs of our customers. The group develops and maintains pricing promotions to help target strategic growth opportunities to ensure new business development aligns to BMO TF’s segment, market and channel strategies.

The Strategic Pricing Manager will be supporting the BMO Transportation CFO and reporting to the Pricing Leader of BMO Transportation. This diverse role within the finance function is responsible for providing strategic, operational and analytical support to BMO Transportation Sales, Finance and Marketing teams on new business/program development by initiating and monitoring design of experiments, understanding the price elasticity of the financing products, competitor analysis in the marketplace to help drive market share, share of wallet and customer retention. The Strategic Pricing Manager will also be responsible for data analytics on the new business transaction and existing portfolio to identify opportunities or trends to the Finance team to help maximize the tradeoff between new business originations and profitability.

This role will require an individual with strong analytical skills, a solid foundation in corporate finance - with a focus in financial planning and analysis, excellent communication skills and a proven track record of executing on critical deliverable items.

While this role does not have direct reports, the successful candidate frequently leads cross-functional teams and provides guidance to senior leadership team members and others throughout the organization.

  • Develop and maintain an in depth understanding of the drivers behind new business metrics (new business volume, returns, expenses and profitability).
  • Create expense models for all BMO TF products on a yearly basis to ensure correct expense liquidation and allocation for new business assumptions.
  • Partner with Business Head and Marketing team to maintain pricing spreads and alert team on price movement in the market.
  • Identify and evaluate new program or sales promotion opportunities that can help drive business growth that aligns to BMO TF’s strategy and customer needs.
  • Partner with sales leader to ensure new business pricing is in line with market and maintains economic return hurdles.
  • Develop and manage design of experiment to monitor effectiveness of sales promotions and programs.
  • Continually refresh sales and program strategies as the transportation industry evolves and work with internal and external stakeholders to execute strategy.
  • Develop and maintain an in depth understanding of the transportation and trucking industry including macroeconomic environment; customer needs and trends; the regulatory environment; competitive dynamics and best practices.
  • Serve as one of BMO TF’s experts on the current and emerging equipment leasing and lending trends and share key insights and important developments with relevant stakeholders.
  • Define, track, and report data management metrics.
  • Research customer needs and behaviors and assess impact and likelihood of customer adoption of new financing products and services.

Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign education equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Analytics, or Statistics plus five (5) years of experience in financial analysis or, alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree or foreign education equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Analytics, or Statistics plus seven (7) years of experience in financial analysis. Experience must include (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): three (3) years of Project management experience, and establishing conducive working relationships with executives; two (2) years of experience with SQL, R data analytics tools; two (2) years of experience pricing lease transactions using SuperTRUMP or similar lease pricing software; experience developing, implementing, and enforcing Data Governance plans, and practices; experience in financial modeling and spread sheet functionality is required; experience with implementation of reporting/visualization dashboards; and, experience developing pricing strategies, customer segmentation and go-to-market strategies.

Please note the target hiring range for this specific position in Irving, Texas is $66,500.00 - $123,500.00 and base salary for this specific position is $101,026.00.

Compensation and Benefits:

$66,500.00 - $95,000.00

The base salary represents BMO Financial Group’s hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.

Base salary is one component of BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package for employees, which may include performance-based incentives, commissions or discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
