Description
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for guiding individuals, families, and businesses toward achieving their financial goals through effective planning and will work directly with trust department professionals. This position serves as a trusted advisor, delivering personalized solutions, and driving business growth through client acquisition and retention. This position requires a self-starter with a passion for financial planning and relationship management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Conduct detailed financial assessments for clients; develop comprehensive financial plans; advise clients on investment strategies which meet their financial plan; assist with retirement planning.
Provide tax planning advice for high net-worth clients and coordinate with tax professionals.
Assist with estate plan flow charts.
Monitor clients' financial progress; adjust financial plans based on clients' changing needs; educate clients on financial topics.
Collaborate with other financial professionals; collaborate with other bank departments.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial products and laws.
Build and manage client relationships through personalized engagement and exceptional service; identify and develop relationships with new potential clients.
Advise clients on the most efficient ways to fund philanthropic passions.
Manage multiple clients and projects.
Comply with all banking regulations, policies and procedures.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain educational and professional expertise through attendance at job related seminars, conferences, and workshops and involvement in professional, civic, and community groups in leadership positions. Maintain in-depth knowledge of financial products and regulations. Membership in professional financial planning organizations.
Work independently and as part of a team; operate in a highly dynamic and entrepreneurial environment and adapt to changes with a flexible attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Possess a four-year college degree from an accredited university or institution with a major area of study in finance, business, or comparable discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
Possess a minimum of seven years of professional work experience in financial planning or advising. Must have a prove track record of successful financial planning.
Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations to top management and/or public groups. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced statistical theory. Strong analytical skills. Proficiency in financial planning and analysis. Attention to detail, time management and organization skills required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables. Strong problem-solving skills, ethical standards, and commitment to fiduciary responsibility.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have the ability to operate PC and printer, copy and fax machines and telephone. Must have good working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software programs. Ability to learn new software systems quickly. Advanced PC knowledge. Experience with financial planning software, including eMoney.
KEY CONTACTS--Internal and External
Has frequent contact with business leaders, accounting and legal professionals to promote wealth management and bank products and services.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver’s license. Certified Financial Planner (CFRP).
