This role is to provide strategic financial insights and analysis for the leasing and hire purchase business, ensuring accurate forecasting, budgeting, and performance monitoring. This role supports decision-making for asset financing, credit risk management, and profitability optimization.

Your new role

• Budgeting & Forecasting:
  
  • Develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts for leasing and hire purchase portfolios.
  • Incorporate interest rate trends, depreciation schedules, and residual value assumptions into forecasts.
• Financial Modeling:
  
  • Build models for lease pricing, portfolio profitability, and scenario analysis (e.g., changes in interest rates or default rates).
  • Evaluate new product offerings and financing structures.
• Variance & Performance Analysis:
  
  • Monitor actual vs. forecast performance for lease receivables, NPL ratios, and yield on assets.
  • Analyze delinquency trends and recommend corrective actions.
• Portfolio Analysis:
  
  • Assess portfolio mix (e.g., vehicle leasing vs. equipment hire purchase) and optimize for profitability and risk.
  • Conduct sensitivity analysis on credit risk and residual values.
• Reporting:
  
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for management and regulatory compliance.
  • Present insights on cost of funds, margin analysis, and operational efficiency.
• Strategic Support:
  
  • Support decisions on funding strategies, securitization, and refinancing options.
  • Collaborate with credit, operations, and sales teams to align financial goals with business strategy.

What you'll need to succeed

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics (MBA or CFA preferred).

• Experience: 5+ years in FP&A, preferably in leasing, hire purchase, or asset financing.

• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of leasing/hire purchase accounting and regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP and leasing systems.
