The IT Department extends comprehensive IT services to the enterprise in a way that meets or exceeds the expectations of internal bank users and customers.
The Technology Specialist independently troubleshoots and solves a variety of day-to-day IT problems, ensuring that solutions comply with bank IT security standards. This role will perform systems administration on bank network and software systems. Occasional product evaluation, recommendation and minor project management are required. Assists VP, IT and works under supervised or independently with networking, security, or facilities projects. Works regularly with vendors on implementation and troubleshooting and holds vendor resources accountable to meet their service obligations. Develop detailed knowledge of the Bank's IT infrastructure and its operation.
Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING NOT LIMITED TO):
- Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot PCs and other computer related systems, devices, and equipment. Provide services to relocate workstations and equipment as needed.
- Provide user assistance using remote access tools with superior interpersonal skills. Ensure that user needs are met, whether completed individually or referred to another party.
- Maintain user accounts on networks and applications using Active Directory and similar systems. Make sure permissions are set as requested and according to operating procedures, escalating requests for approval when needed.
- Maintain all internal IT systems for inventory, management, monitoring, and securing the bank's IT resources. Know how to use these systems to troubleshoot or to proactively detect problems that need attention.
- Assist in developing plans for small to medium size projects involving primarily IT systems and resources. Compare actual project tasks and schedule against original plans.
- Respond to internal inquiries and develop solutions for small to complex technical problems.
- Resolves IT requests efficiently and timely as measured by Fresh Desk ticket records
- Carefully gather data from end-users and verify accuracy to take appropriate action
- Communicating technical materials in succinct terms so the average user can understand
- Perform administrative tasks in key systems including internal network components, email, phone, interfaces & backups
- Engage with and help facilitate IT related audits and exams, ensuring that all audit recommendations and findings are addressed timely and thoroughly.

MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
- 1+ years of experience in IT or a related field
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to drive as needed to different branches/sites
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Excellent customer service skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Creative problem solving
- Very detail oriented
- Capable of operating independently
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Banking or Financial Industry IT Experience
- Associates/Bachelor's Degree (technology or related field)
- IT related certifications, applicable to the bank's IT infrastructure
COMPUTER/SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft programs and Operating Systems
- Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN networking
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
