Description

A leading proprietary trading firm is hiring a C++ Connectivity Lead to join its market data and connectivity team onsite in Sydney. This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on building and enhancing low-latency, high-frequency exchange connectivity systems. The firm offers full visa sponsorship and relocation support.

In this role, you'll lead a team of experienced engineers, manage end-to-end software development projects, and contribute directly to performance-critical infrastructure. You'll work closely with trading, infrastructure, quant, and strategy teams to deliver scalable and highly performant systems.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related field, 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership role (preferably in finance), and 7+ years of experience in C++ development on Linux. Strong knowledge of multithreading, sockets, STL, Boost, and performance tuning is essential. Experience with financial products, exchange connectivity, and market data is highly preferred.
