We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Strategic Analysis Associate, Group FP&A.
This role will give you the opportunity to support the Group Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team in developing and maintaining financial reporting to project business performance and ensure alignment with Group strategy. This role offers a chance to liaise with a wide range of global businesses and functions, enhancing understanding of strategic priorities across planning, forecasting, and capital management. The role is high-profile, requiring accuracy and robust control, and provides a platform to deliver impactful insights to senior management.
In this role, you will:
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Support the Group FP&A team in developing and maintaining financial reporting to project business performance and ensure alignment with Group strategy. This includes preparing and consolidating Executive Management Information (MI) and leveraging tools like TM1, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with global businesses and regional stakeholders to drive business-as-usual and change initiatives, ensuring efficient signoff and understanding of strategic priorities across planning, forecasting, and capital management.
- Scenario Modelling and Sensitivity Analysis: Support financial modelling of "what if" scenarios to perform sensitivity analysis, testing how changes in assumptions impact outputs, aiding decision-making and meeting performance metrics.
- Process Improvement and Documentation: Interact with stakeholders to enhance processes, standardisation, and automation, ensuring service delivery per agreed standards. Maintain thorough documentation of processes, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Process Maps.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Qualified Accountant: ACA, CA, ACCA, CFA, CIMA or equivalent.
- Financial Planning & Analysis experience: Proficiency in developing and maintaining financial reporting, projecting business performance, and ensuring alignment with Group strategy. This includes preparing Executive Management Information (MI) and conducting insightful financial analysis.
- Business Partnering experience: Demonstrable experience within a Finance function.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with tools such as TM1, MS Excel, PowerPoint or Tableau for managing and delivering financial reports and dashboards.
- Scenario Modelling and Sensitivity Analysis experience: Capability to support financial modeling of "what if" scenarios, performing sensitivity analysis to test assumptions and aid decision-making.
- Process Improvement experience: Skills in interacting with stakeholders to enhance processes, standardisation, and automation, ensuring efficient service delivery and continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to liaise with global businesses and regional stakeholders, driving business-as-usual and change initiatives, and participating in review and challenge meetings to understand performance drivers.
The base location for this role will be Birmingham and with a hybrid working pattern.
