An opportunity has risen with a leading, reputed buy side business who are seeking to expand their Middle Office Operations team in Hong Kong. The role requires the incumbent to have strong Equities Operations experience ideally from a buy side firm. Prior Investment banking middle office candidates will also be considered.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

• Take responsibility for the entire post trade life cycle including trade booking and any amendments/resolutions
• Be the key liaison between the Trading desk and all other internal and external support/administrative teams
• Review and validate daily reconciliations across internal systems and external counterparties.
• Ensure timely settlement of trades and resolve any discrepancies
• Handle margin calls and collateral management in coordination with Treasury and prime brokers

To be eligible for this role you will require:

• A relevant degree and at least 8-10 years of working experience ideally from the buy side or an investment bank
• Strong knowledge of equities products essential
• A proven track record in post trade life cycle management is needed -from trade booking, settlements including corporate actions.
• Experience in working with prime brokers and fund administrators a strong advantage
• Excellent communication skills, along with analytical and problem-solving skills is necessary
