About Argent
At Argent Capital, we are driven by one goal—building wealth for our clients over the long term. Helping investors realize their financial goals inspires us now as much as it did when we founded the firm in 1998. With a focus on active management in U.S. equities, Argent has grown into a 27-person, 100% employee-owned boutique investment firm with over $3.5 billion in assets under management. Our culture is entrepreneurial, collaborative, and performance-driven. In 2025, the St. Louis Business Journal recognized Argent as a Best Place to Work, a testament to our team-first environment where every individual’s contributions are impactful and valued.
We believe the most powerful force in investing is compounding cash flows. Argent invests in high-quality, attractively valued businesses that can thrive in an ever-changing world—what we call enduring businesses. These companies grow cash flows, allocate capital wisely, and maintain durable competitive advantages. To capitalize on compounding, we build concentrated, low-turnover portfolios of these enduring businesses. Time horizon is our edge.
