Description
Global Trade Solutions spans across more than 50 countries, helping suppliers and buyers with their export and import finance needs. Trade is where HSBC began in 1865, when we financed commerce between Europe, North America and Asia.We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Product Manager.
As a Senior Product Manager, your role involves managing and developing HSBC trade finance products with the objective of contributing to profitability and to enhance the client experience.
In this role you will:
- Manage the full product lifecycle for trade products, including commercialization and implementation, ensuring alignment with market needs and strategic objectives
- Develop and champion existing products, ensuring that they are competitive and meet the needs of the clients
- Roll-out of new products and product enhancements, navigating the product governance processes and ensuring compliance with internal guidelines
- Develop value propositions that are commercially viable and develop business cases to justify strategic initiatives and secure approvals
- Initiate product reviews in line with agreed roadmap to ensure that the compliance related requirements are met and ensure all actions points arising are duly addressed
- Ensure product guidelines and collaterals are up-to-date, and appropriate communication and briefings are made to frontliners, including Coverage and Sales
- Partner closely with Sales teams to provide product expertise and support for client pitches and proposals
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis and monitor industry standards locally and internationally to identify gaps and opportunities for product innovation and improvement
To be successful you will need:
- Strong knowledge in trade finance products, particularly in Open Account solutions such as Receivables Finance and Supply Chain Finance, with at least 7 years of relevant experience product management, trade finance and/or transaction banking
- Strategic thinker with ability to drive tactical execution
- Possesses practical knowledge of trade finance products, including their operational, legal, and compliance aspects. Experience in proposition development and commercialization would be an added advantage
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Comfortable in a hybrid work environment and skilled at navigating challenges in dynamic settings
- Collaborative team player with a positive attitude
