Your New Role
As a Senior Analytics Specialist within the Attribution team, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact insights that shape investment decisions and performance narratives. You will be responsible for developing and refining attribution models, interpreting complex data sets, and partnering with stakeholders across Investment, Risk, and Strategy to ensure our analytics are robust and actionable.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver tailored performance and attribution analytics to investment teams and other stakeholders across all asset classes (including currency) and at the whole-of-fund level
- Provide subject matter expertise and technical leadership on advanced attribution techniques and methodologies
- Maximise utilisation of strategic analytics platforms (primarily PEARL) to ensure reporting is timely, accurate, and delivered within a risk-controlled, sustainable framework
- Support transformation initiatives (including fund structure design) to ensure operational implementation of investment strategies aligns with desired reporting outcomes
- Peer review reporting produced by other analysts, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement
- Build strong relationships with investment team members to maximise feedback loops and enhance analytics quality
- Support the investigation, root cause analysis, and resolution of data quality issues in collaboration with the Manager, Performance Reporting
- Engage with internal stakeholders (Investment Teams, Investment Services, ODIN project team, Member Growth Team) and external partners (software/data providers, custodians, APRA, ratings agencies, auditors)
How do you exceed our expectations?
You are an experienced investment analytics professional with deep expertise in performance measurement and attribution. You will have strong technical skills with the ability to communicate complex insights clearly to stakeholders.
In addition, you will have;
- Proven experience in investment performance and attribution analytics, ideally within superannuation, asset management, or financial services
- Technical expertise in attribution methodologies, performance measurement, and advanced analytics platforms (e.g., PEARL, Ortec, BlackRock)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and investment analytics systems
- Strong communication skills to translate complex analytics into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders
- Attention to detail and a commitment to data quality and continuous improvement
- Stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships across investment, risk, and strategy team
- Relevant qualifications in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline; postgraduate credentials (e.g., CFA, CIPM) are advantageous
- Experience supporting transformation initiatives and operational implementation of investment strategies
