Job DescriptionJob Purpose
We are seeking a talented and passionate individual to join our Retail Banking Group as the Head of Corporate Cards Product. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of the Corporate Cards business, ensuring their success and market competitiveness. Your primary focus will be managing and expanding the existing portfolio, identifying new product opportunities, and launching innovative solutions to drive overall growth and profitability.
Key Result Areas
- Manage the Corporate Cards product proposition as well as portfolio of existing clients
- Conduct a regular product gap analysis, identify opportunities for new products & propositions, and drive the launch of such new products
- Lead product development efforts through BRDs, policy programs, UATs, and tech development. Work with IT, Ops, Compliance, Legal, Wholesale Risk,
- Digital and other internal stakeholders, as well as work closely with the Scheme
- Liaise with the Marketing and Communication team to develop product marketing materials, market launch plans, and digital & web updates
- Interact regularly with Schemes on new and evolving capabilities and Corporate Card platforms, and ensure implementation of such capabilities for existing and new Corporate Card clients
- Manage the portfolio of existing Corporate Card clients, catering to their product and platform needs
- Regularly review and optimize the pricing and rebate structure for existing clients to drive spends growth and maximize net revenues
- Set up robust processes for migration of Corporate Card clients across Schemes
- Regularly conduct product and portfolio performance reviews and updates with management across CIBG and RBG
- Resolve client issues and complaints in a timely manner - work with CIBG on key service issues
- Develop and maintain detailed up to date knowledge of Corporate Card Products in the marke
- Provide internal sales training relevant on Corporate Card products to sales teams and frontline channel
- Ensure necessary controls from both risk and operations' perspective for Corporate Card
- Ensure compliance with the bank's processes and procedures as well as regulatory requirement
- Take-up any ad-hoc projects assigned by management and deliver within the agreed timelines
Knowledge, Skills & experience
- A Bachelors' degree in Economics, Strategy, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field with 6+ years of banking/payments experience. Prior experience in Corporate Cards Product Management in UAE is strongly preferred
- Knowledge / experience on Corporate Card or Retail Card management systems, as well as an understanding of market dynamics, competition products & services
- Prior experience working with Schemes (Visa and/or Mastercard) is preferred
- Strategic thinking - ability to understand the key dynamics and drivers of the Corporate Cards business; understand industry trends and visualize what new trends and technologies would emerge in the near to medium term future; and devise strategies to respond to such opportunities/threats to ensure the bank stays ahead of the curve
- Tactical nous - ability to also understand the immediate and short-term priorities for the business and ensure timely actions to honor such priorities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - ability to comprehend large problems, break them down into smaller executable tasks, and track such tasks to execution and closure
- Excellent communication skills - ability to easily and clearly convey ideas, action-ables and challenges across all levels of hierarchy in the organization
- A good team player - ability to work with stakeholders across various units; ability to influence and drive decision making in large groups, including in non-reporting relationships; ability to resolve conflicts constructively and lead the team to a consensus

Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize the performance of the existing Corporate Card product portfolio.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new product opportunities and trends.
- Lead the development and launch of new Corporate Card products, ensuring they meet market demands and Mashreq's strategic goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and technology, to ensure a seamless product lifecycle.
- Develop and implement effective go-to-market strategies for new and existing Corporate Card products.
- Monitor and analyze competitor activities and market dynamics to stay ahead of the curve.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in product development and management.
- Provide regular updates and reports on product performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives to senior management.
- Stay updated with industry developments and emerging technologies to enhance our Corporate Card offerings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product management, with a focus on Corporate Cards or similar financial products.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing financial products, preferably in the Corporate Card space.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for product management and market analysis.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the financial industry.
- A results-driven mindset with a passion for innovation and a commitment to delivering exceptional products.
