This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative and supportive environment, where your expertise will directly contribute to the success of major transformation programmes. You will be at the heart of change delivery, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that standards, processes, and best practices are not only met but exceeded. The organisation is committed to fostering an inclusive culture that values knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and flexible working opportunities. If you are passionate about driving value, optimising ways of working, and making a tangible impact on business outcomes, this is the ideal next step in your career.
* Be part of a transformative programme that shapes the future operating model of a renowned financial services provider, offering you exposure to large-scale change initiatives and the chance to work alongside knowledgeable professionals.
* Enjoy a workplace that champions flexibility, encourages ongoing training opportunities, and supports your professional growth through access to cutting-edge tools and methodologies.
* Join a team where your ability to collaborate, communicate effectively, and nurture positive relationships will be highly valued as you help deliver meaningful improvements across the business.
What you'll do:
As a PMO Analyst based in London, you will play a pivotal role in supporting major transformation initiatives by ensuring seamless coordination across multiple project streams. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve close collaboration with various teams to facilitate planning activities, manage dependencies, and oversee risk management processes. You will be instrumental in implementing robust reporting mechanisms for the Transformation Office while maintaining high standards through diligent review of project documentation. By acting as a central point of contact for audits and assurance activities, you will help safeguard compliance with organisational controls. Your proactive approach to benefits tracking will ensure that value delivered by each programme is clearly measured and communicated. Additionally, you will foster an environment of continuous improvement by championing knowledge sharing sessions and supporting new ways of working. Your contribution will be vital in enabling teams to deliver exceptional results while upholding agile values throughout every stage of project delivery.
* Facilitate comprehensive programme planning activities by managing the identification, capture, and coordination of key milestones and dependencies both within and outside aligned programmes.
* Ensure that all teams are proactively identifying, capturing, and managing programme risks and issues with robust mitigation strategies in place.
* Lead resource demand and capability management efforts for aligned teams to ensure optimal allocation and utilisation of skills across projects.
* Drive the implementation of Transformation Office reporting by developing dashboards and metrics for assigned programmes while establishing additional reporting frameworks as required.
* Review and quality assure programme plans, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), reports, business cases, and other critical submissions to maintain high-quality standards.
* Act as the primary contact for risk control self-assessments and audit activities by ensuring appropriate assurance measures are implemented and remediation actions are completed promptly.
* Collaborate with business colleagues to establish and maintain effective benefits tracking processes that integrate seamlessly into wider transformation office reporting.
* Champion effective ways of working by leading arrangements for team mobilisation, knowledge management initiatives, communication strategies, and lessons learned sessions across programmes.
* Provide light-touch PMO support for additional initiatives within the portfolio that may not have dedicated PMO resources assigned when required.
* Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimise value flow and embed agile principles throughout all aspects of programme delivery.
What you bring:
To excel as a PMO Analyst in this dynamic setting, you will bring extensive hands-on experience from previous roles focused on change delivery within large organisations. Your background should reflect deep familiarity with project governance structures as well as practical involvement in facilitating planning cycles for complex programmes. You will possess strong interpersonal skills that enable you to connect meaningfully with stakeholders at all levels-ensuring alignment around shared goals while fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect. Your analytical mindset allows you to interpret data-driven insights from various reporting tools while your attention to detail ensures nothing slips through the cracks during quality assurance reviews. Adaptability is key; you thrive when navigating shifting priorities or supporting additional initiatives outside your core remit. Above all else, your passion for continuous improvement shines through as you encourage others towards more efficient ways of working-always guided by empathy and a genuine desire to see colleagues succeed together.
* A minimum of five years' experience in change or project delivery within a PMO function is essential for success in this role.
* Proven track record working on large-scale change initiatives within complex organisations-experience in financial services or insurance sectors is particularly advantageous.
* Demonstrated proficiency with collaboration tools such as Jira; familiarity with Planview, Project Online, or PowerBI would be beneficial but not mandatory.
* Strong understanding of lean project management principles combined with practical experience applying continual service improvement methodologies.
* Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trust-based relationships across diverse teams while promoting intentional collaboration.
* Excellent communication abilities-both written and verbal-enabling you to convey complex information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences alike.
* Solid grasp of risk management practices including the ability to identify potential issues early on and implement effective mitigation strategies.
* Experience supporting scaled agile frameworks (SAFe) or similar methodologies within transformation environments is highly desirable.
* Project Management qualifications such as APM Project Management Qualification or equivalent certifications are considered an asset but not essential if balanced by relevant experience.
* A commitment to upholding standards compliance while contributing positively to team culture through empathy, dependability, and a nurturing approach.
