What to expect as a Payroll Specialist?
As a Full-Time Payroll Specialist at People Driven Credit Union, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our Human Resources database, ensuring payroll and benefit information is accurate and up-to-date. You will manage the bi-weekly payroll processing in Paylocity, conducting thorough audits of payroll reports to guarantee the accuracy of salary increases, deductions, and adjustments. Your responsibilities will extend to meeting quarter-end and year-end tax deadlines, while ensuring compliance with IRS reporting, including 5500 forms for retirement and Section 125 benefits. You'll verify essential data related to new enrollments, terminations, and salary changes.
Additionally, you will assist with the annual salary increases for all team members. As the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, you will provide helpful, empathetic support to our team, fostering an environment that values precision and excellence.
Requirements for this Payroll Specialist job
To excel as a Full-Time Payroll Specialist, a combination of educational background and relevant experience is essential. An Associate's Degree or an equivalent mix of education, training, and experience will provide a solid foundation. Candidates should possess a minimum of 2 years of payroll experience, with familiarity in using Paylocity preferred for streamlining payroll processes. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are crucial, as you will be the main point of contact regarding payroll inquiries.
