Hiring for an in-person role in San Antonio, Texas only, with potential for hybrid schedule after 90 days.
What you’ll get to do:
- Build Farm Bureau Mortgage brand.
- Originate mortgage loans from leads generated through various channels, including current and past bank customers, referrals, marketing campaigns, and partnerships.
- Educate borrowers on available mortgage products, interest rates, and terms, and assist them in selecting the best loan option to meet their financial goals.
- Guide borrowers through the mortgage application process, including gathering required documentation, conducting credit checks, and facilitating the underwriting process.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan origination process, addressing borrower inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors/partners, including underwriters, processors, and closers, to ensure smooth and efficient loan processing and closing.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Farm Bureau members, leaders, real estate agents, financial advisors, and other referral sources to generate new business opportunities.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting the mortgage lending landscape.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing mortgage lending practices and ensure adherence to Farm Bureau Bank's policies and procedures.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Three (3) plus years of experience in mortgage lending, with a proven track record of loan origination and production.
- Strong understanding of mortgage products, including conventional, FHA, VA, USDA loans and, HELOC/Second Mortgages as well as knowledge of mortgage underwriting guidelines and regulations.
