Responsibilities
- Performs Financial/Operational and IT audits and assists in reviewing and following up on the work performed by other Internal Audit personnel and/or resources from co-sourcing firms.
- Develop and implement the annual audit plan based on risk assessments.
- Coordinate audit schedules and ensure timely execution of audits.
- Identify and assess areas of significant business risk.
- Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls.
- Recommend improvements to strengthen governance and mitigate risks.
- Supervise audit engagements and review audit reports prepared by staff.
- Prepare detailed reports and present findings to senior management and audit committees.
- Lead, mentor, and develop audit staff to maintain high performance.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching.
- Foster continuous improvement in audit methodologies and processes.
- Monitor implementation of audit recommendations.
- Conduct follow-up audits to ensure corrective actions are effective.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
Qualifications
Required skills/experience
- 2- 4 years audit manager experience with internal or external auditing.
- Professional designation, such as CPA, CISSP, CIA, CISA, QSA.
- Bachelor's degree, from an accredited college or university
- Ability to Performs Financial/Operational and IT audits and review and following up on the work performed by staff and/or resources from co-sourcing firms.
- Capable of developing and implementing the annual audit plan based on risk assessments.
- Demonstrated ability in planning and project management, and in maintaining composure under pressure while managing multiple assignments and priorities.
- Working knowledge of internal audit and/or compliance testing techniques and procedures.
- Demonstrated work successes utilizing project plans, issues logs, risk/mitigation strategies, governance risk controls (GRC) tools.
- Ability to apply business knowledge and practical experience to the identification, analysis, and solution process.
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated skills in researching, collecting and analyzing complex data, evaluating information and systems and drawing logical conclusions.
Desired skills/experience:
- Experience with the Pre-Paid or Stored Value Payments processing industry is beneficial but not required.
- Strategic thinking and adaptability to evolving regulations and technology.
- Strong interpersonal skills: empathy, assertiveness, and influencing ability.
- Professional designation, such as CPA, CISSP, CIA, CISA, QSA.
