Description
You are a strategic thinker passionate about driving solutions in Legal Entity Contro. You have found the right team.As an Associate within the Legal Entity Control team, you will be responsible for financial oversight of the legal entity, ensuring a strong control environment across all businesses, products, and operational areas impacting the Legal Entity financials and regulatory reporting. You will have the opportunity to interact with multiple lines of business and internal stakeholders, learning legal entity controllership end-to-end.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage legal entity accounting and control on a monthly basis, including overseeing the month-end close process, parent/child accounting, equity pick up, reviewing inter-entity breaks, and monitoring unnatural general ledger balances.
 - Conduct month-end analytical reviews of legal entities to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statements, and prepare various reports, including contributions to the Monthly Controller's Book, legal entity and line of business financial commentary, and regulatory reporting requirements.
 - Investigate, analyze, and resolve issues, and respond promptly to ad-hoc queries.
 - Assist in the Booking Model review and support ongoing Legal Entity Control Standard compliance monitoring.
 - Control intercompany activity, including providing variance commentary.
 - Monitor the general ledger, including consolidation and netting activities.
 - Participate in firmwide legal entity reporting projects, infrastructure and process improvement efforts, and other Controller initiatives as needed.
 
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related business field
 - 3+ years finance/accounting - related experience
 - Strong accounting and analytical acumen, with ability to understand, produce and explain income statement and balance sheet content and variances
 - Superior attention to detail
 - Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to prepare executive level presentations
 - Ability to work effectively with others, as well as act as an effective liaison with all business partners within the lines of business or legal entity chains
 - Strong initiative and work ethic
 - Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure, with an ability to be flexible in a dynamic and challenging environment
 - Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required
 
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- CPA a plus, but not required
