Description
The People and Culture Coordinator provides administrative support to the Human Resources function in the Haz Waste division. Under the direction of the Sr P&C Business Partner, this role assists with employee on-boarding for new hires in the Haz Waste division, HR systems updates, personnel file management, benefits questions, and general employee support. The People and Culture Coordinator serves as a first point of contact for HR-related inquiries and plays an essential role in maintaining a positive employee experience and ensuring HR processes are executed efficiently and accurately.
Job Duties:
Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files in compliance with company policy and federal/state regulations.
Assist with employee record keeping in ADP, including new hires, terminations, status changes, and leave tracking.
Assist with the coordination of on-boarding for hourly new hires, including new hire paperwork, orientation scheduling, and IT/Facility setup requests.
Support the Haz Waste team with job postings, applicant tracking, and candidate communications.
Partner with hiring managers and the Sr. P&CBP to ensure a smooth and professional new hire experience.
Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding general policy questions, procedures, and benefits.
Assist with People and Culture initiatives such as recognition programs, engagement activities, and training logistics.
Track and report on employee feedback trends
Support employee events, meetings, and communications to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
Maintain accuracy in data.
Ensure all HR processes align with VLS policies and federal/state employment laws.
Provide payroll and timekeeping support by assisting with data verification and employee inquiries.
Support open enrollment and benefits-related communications as needed for the division
Partner with CSC People and Culture to resolve employee concerns or discrepancies.

Requirements
Requirements:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources role (industrial or manufacturing environment preferred).
Strong knowledge of HR practices, documentation, and confidentiality standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
