Description
OverviewWoodstock Golf Club, established in 1929, is seeking an experienced, high-energy, and
dedicated PGA/LPGA Professional to serve as our Head Golf Professional / Director of
Golf Operations. This leadership role demands a highly visible, engaged ambassador for
the Club, responsible for managing the entire golf enterprise, including the Pro Shop,
instruction, tournaments, and member services.
Experience Required
-PGA/LPGA Membership or certification preferred.
-Proven leadership and management experience in a golf club setting.
-Exceptional organizational skills and financial acumen, particularly in
retail and inventory management.
-Commitment to providing outstanding member service and promoting
golf instruction.
-The Pro must maintain adequate property insurance for club inventory
and $1,000,000 in personal liability insurance.
Essential Responsibilities
Golf Operations & Member Experience
-Assume complete control of the golfing operation and coordinate all
events.
-Ensure proper golf etiquette, and regulate play and starting times as
the top priority.
-Act as Course Marshall when necessary to maintain pace of play.
-Lead the development, promotion, and execution of the Junior Golf
Program and initiatives to promote Women's golf
-Meet with the Manager and Superintendent to review operations.
-Handle all pairings, starting times, rulings, and scoring for club events.
-Maintain all member handicaps as prepared by the MGA.
Pro Shop & Financial Management
-Provide the membership with an up-to-date and adequately staffed
Pro Shop.
-Maintain set hours: Weekends/Holidays (7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.) and
Weekdays (8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.); Non-tournament Mondays (9:00
a.m. to 7:00 p.m.).
-Stock merchandise satisfactory to the Club and sell at a normal mark-
up.
-Maintain an approved daily bookkeeping system for all Pro Shop
activities.
-Render a financial/operations report to the Board at regular meetings.
Supervision & Compliance
-Manage the hiring and supervision of Pro Shop assistants and a PGA
Assistant Pro (subject to Board/Manager approval).
-Oversee the management of the Club's electric cart fleet, ensuring
they are safe, clean, fully charged, and the storage area is orderly.
-Dedicate entire time, attention, and energies to the business of the
Club and Pro Shop.
Benefits
Initial Contract Term: Seasonal contract covering the golf seasons from April 1,
2025, through October 31, 2027. (Initial 2 Year)
Extension Option: The Club retains the option to extend the agreement for three (3)
additional years.
Seasonal Salary Range (Base Pay): $37,500.00 for the season.
o This base salary is paid in weekly installments over thirty-one (31) weeks.
o The salary increases annually by the lesser of the COLA (Cost of Living
Allowance) or 5%.
Benefits and Support
-Medical Stipend: Up to $3500.00 each season toward medical
insurance.
-Staff Support: The Club contributes up to $15,000.00 toward the
compensation (including payroll taxes) of the Pro's approved
employees.
-Facility: The Club provides the Pro Shop building and adequate
space for merchandise display, storage, and cleaning.
