Role Overview:

The Head Golf Professional is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the club's golf operations, including staff management, member engagement, golf shop operations, and tournament coordination. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for golf, a commitment to excellence, and an ability to foster a positive, inclusive environment for members and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Management:
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of golf professionals, including assistant professionals, outside services staff, and shop attendants.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure high standards of service and performance are consistently achieved.

• Member Engagement and Satisfaction:
• Build strong relationships with members, understanding their needs and enhancing their club experience.
• Develop and implement programs and services that increase member satisfaction and participation.
• Act as a key point of contact for member inquiries and concerns, providing timely and effective resolutions.

• Golf Operations:
• Oversee daily golf operations, including tee sheet management, pace of play, and course setup.
• Manage all aspects of the golf shop, including inventory control, merchandising, and sales.
• Coordinate member tournaments, events, and instructional programs to maximize engagement and enjoyment.
• Financial Management:
• Develop and manage the golf operations budget, including payroll, revenue forecasts, and expense control.
• Implement strategies to achieve financial goals and improve profitability.
• Innovation and Technology:
• Leverage technology and industry trends to enhance golf programs, member experiences, and operational efficiency.
• Implement and utilize golf management software for scheduling, communication, and reporting.
• Professional Development:
• Stay current with industry best practices and certifications.
• Encourage staff participation in professional development opportunities and continued education.

Qualifications:

• PGA Class A Membership required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a golf professional role, with a proven track record in leadership or management at a private club or high-end facility.
• Strong knowledge of golf operations, instruction, and tournament management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with members, staff, and guests.
• Proven ability to develop and manage budgets effectively.
• Familiarity with golf management software and current technology trends.
• A passion for delivering exceptional service and fostering a positive member experience.
