Experience Required

• Experience in a membership setting is preferred but not required
• Experience in a resort setting would be a bonus
• Looking for strong leadership, organizational and communication skills

Essential Responsibilities

Position Concept: Promote and teach the game of golf in accordance with standards set forth by Elite Golf Management and the PGA of America. Oversee and manage all aspects of the Golf Operation in accordance with facility rules and policies.

Reports to: General manager and Elite Golf executive management

General responsibilities:
• Promote the game of golf, the facility, and the Elite Golf philosophy.
• Conduct self in a friendly, courteous and hospitable manner with all customers.
• Manage and oversee the golf shop and player's services staffs including hiring and replacement of staff members.
• Maintain a close relationship with the golf maintenance and food and beverage staffs.
• Oversee and enforce facility policies and procedures.
• Manage and participate in all day to day operations and procedures.
• Keep a well maintained facility and golf shop.
• Promote participation in tournaments and events.
• Train and further the education of upcoming PGA apprentices.
• Any other duties as may be assigned by the general manager and or executive management.

Job specific responsibilities:
• Oversee, track, and maintain an operational budget as set forth by the general manager and executive management.
• Track and report rounds played, daily sales, payroll, monthly inventory and other operational reports.
• Create a customer database to be shared by Elite Golf facilities.
• Maintain a golf shop with proper products and merchandise for sale and customer support.
• Meet with vendors to look at upcoming merchandise orders.
• Create pricing and promotional strategies in line with the Elite Golf philosophy.
• Attend and report to monthly facility operational meetings.
• Maintain a working schedule for the golf shop staff.
• Participate in the day to day operations of the facility including all shop and player's services duties.
