The GM/Head Professional directs all aspects of the facility including its activities, represents the Facility/City of Boonville and the relationships between the facility and its members, employees, community government, and industry; sets and monitors the budget; and monitors the quality of product and service to ensure customer satisfaction in all facets of the club. This position will promote an exceptional golf experience; coordinate and administer facility policies; and provide supervision and support to all department heads.

Experience Required:

• Excellent communicator and manager of people
• The ability to utilize modern technologies (computer: Microsoft Office, POS Systems, QuickBooks, Facebook, and programs in managing workplace procedures).
• Be naturally organized in goal setting, project planning, prioritizing, budgets and timeframes
• Comprehension of golf, membership and banquet related sales (wedding, fundraisers, club memberships, corporate events, rounds of golf, group outings, and golf merchandise)
• Will project the City of Boonville brand of professionalism, in their appearance and demeanor, both externally (with clients and in public), and internally to fellow staff

Essential Responsibilities

• Monitor the performance of all daily operations, functions and services; assures high standards and total customer satisfaction
• Oversee the reservation system, starting, and monitor pace of play
• Monitor and drive golf shop revenue for merchandise, rounds of golf, cart revenue and corporate functions
• Track and verify all players and guests, green fees, golf carts, club care, handicap fees, and other necessary charges, and facilitate accurate accounting and recordkeeping
• Develop and maintain a sound organizational structure
• Oversee employee hiring, firing, and development
• Initiate ideas of programming, sales, events, and business opportunities
• Delegate daily responsibilities to qualified employees. Monitor their performance and timelines, and aids in training and support as needed
• Give recommendations to City of Boonville and City Parks Board for operating, and capital budgets, and policies
• Monitor financial statements, review income and expenses, and report status monthly
• Meet, greet, and welcome prospective customers/members
• Ensure the highest standards for golf service, programs, food, beverage, outings, and events
• Oversee and work with department heads for staffing and scheduling
• Attend all City meetings
• Enforce all rules, regulations, and bylaws governing the facility
• Communicate overall vision of the facility to fellow employees and customers
• Manage facility operating cash
• Maintain task lists and progress reports of facility
• Report weekly to the Mayor or his designee on the progress of each project (in relation to the project plan)
• Appear at all meetings on-time or where you will be late, notify the client or meeting chair immediately
• Complete bi-weekly payroll by noon on Monday
