A leading developer of power projects, is seeking an experienced Financial Modeler to join their team in Accra. The role will involve building, owning and updating the models for both operational and new projects. Focus is on ensuring that all tax implications, debt repayments schedules, interest payments, guarantees and other project finance considerations are catered for, as well as operational asset considerations such as technical upgrades, changes to the PPA, input and output costs changes (increases in charges, etc).

We are looking to speak with candidates with a Masters in Financial Management, or a related Engineering degree PLUS 3-4 years experience in building and developing models from scratch.

• Technical knowledge of Debt Service Coverage Ratio (DSCR), Loan Life Coverage Ratio -(LLCR) and equity IRR in a project finance model
• You will have a strong understanding of how to model Interest during Construction (IDC) and Capitalised fees
• Strong modeling experience of liquidity reserves DSRA implications
• Exposure to the power or energy sector is not needed, but is highly advantageous.

This role is based in Accra and as such is only open to Ghanian citizens or permanent residents.

Qualifications:

• Finance/Economics/Accounting Masters
• Engineering or Financial Engineering related degrees
• Strong quantitative ability
• Willingness to learn and be out of your comfort zone as the company and sector is highly dynamic and fast moving

You will support a global team spread across Ghana, UK and London.
