A leading London hedge fund is looking to hire a commercially minded and technically strong Financial Controller to join its high-performing finance team.

This is a highly progressive role with broad responsibility across group finance, controllership, and strategic projects. You'll lead the firm's financial management and reporting requirements, but the remit extends beyond reporting into treasury management, liquidity oversight, and contributing to finance transformation initiatives. You will oversee financial modelling, planning, and analysis and manage a team of three accountants within a wider function of 8. You will work closely with senior leadership on scenario planning, growth strategies, and operational solutions that improve efficiency and scalability. The team operates in a streamlined environment with Workday fully embedded and external advisors in place, freeing you up to focus on strategic impact rather than administrative tasks. We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA/CA or equivalent) with approximately 3-6 years' PQE. You will have experience managing teams and reviewing work, ideally trained in Big-4 with a strong academic background. The optimal candidate will combine technical rigour with the ability to think commercially, move comfortably between detail and strategy, and thrive in a demanding, intellectually curious environment.
