Finance Manager (Hospitality Background, Japanese & English, Hybrid, 10-14m JPY)We are looking for a Finance Manager to manage and improve financial operations for our client in the hospitality industry. This role is essential for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes. The successful candidate will help shape financial strategies and support business performance using data insights. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial planning process.
- Analyze financial data and deliver actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Monitor key financial metrics and perform variance and trend analysis.
- Build and refine financial models to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive operational efficiency.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, management reports, and dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
- Coordinate with external auditors and oversee the audit process.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant tax laws and ensure proper compliance.
- Strengthen internal financial controls and governance.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and overall financial health.
- Oversee banking relationships and support financing activities.
- Optimize cash forecasting and treasury operations.
- Assess and develop strategies to mitigate financial risks.
- Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end processes.
- Partner with business units to guide resource allocation and investment decisions.
- Evaluate the financial impact of new initiatives, projects, and ventures.
- Support activities related to mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring efforts.
- Champion improvements in financial reporting systems and processes.
- Mentor and develop junior members of the finance team.
- Implement financial management best practices and encourage accountability.
- Facilitate relevant training programs and promote continuous improvement.
- Foster collaboration across departments to strengthen financial performance.
Qualifications & Skills:
- - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
- - Over 5 years of finance or accounting leadership experience.
- - Strong knowledge of financial regulations and corporate finance.
- - Expertise in financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
- - Proficient in financial management systems and ERP software.
- - Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- - Excellent skills in financial modeling and data interpretation.
