Responsibilities:
PLEASE NOTE: This position is contingent upon contract award. This position may be shared with one of our contract partners, and applicant resumes may be shared with a partner for consideration. In support of our customer, we are seeking a Configuration Manager Midgrade with experience in supporting DOD Federal acquisition programs; knowledge of policy/principles/organizational protocols.
Job Duties:
• Configuration Management Support: Supporting continuous CM activities, such as drafting baseline documentation, ECPs, and CM Plan annexes. Participating in configuration review boards, configuration control boards, and configuration audits to ensure compliance with established CM processes and standards. Participating in drawing reviews and configuration audits to ensure compliance with engineering and configuration standards. Supporting the documentation and implementation of change control processes in alignment with organization- and program-specific policies.
• Documentation Management: Managing version control of documentation, procedures, baselines, and SOPs. Ensuring the proper identification, tracking, and maintenance of hardware, software, and related documentation.
• Data Security and Distribution: Managing the security, receipt, and distribution of data to include handling classified documents utilized for system upgrades or replacements and ensuring secure access and proper dissemination of sensitive information.
• Configuration Tracking and Tool Utilization: Utilizing specified CM tools to track and manage configuration items, ensuring accurate data entry and tracking to maintain system integrity and support audit readiness.• Engineering Expertise and Technical Editing: Providing engineering expertise and applying industry best practices in the acquisition and management of design documentation. Supporting technical editing of a design documentation handbook and training package for programs to use.
General Responsibilities Include:
• Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering or scientific work in a project or performs work that involves conventional engineering or scientific practices.
•Typical work may include research, development, design, testing, logistics, analysis, production, maintenance,
operation, planning, estimating, application, or standardization of engineering facilities, systems, structures, software applications, firmware, processes equipment, devices, or materials.
• Generates specifications or plans to support the development of acquisition documentation. Supports technical
findings, opinions or recommendations.
• Performs customer liaison, makes presentations and attends customer meetings.• Consults with stakeholders on technical applications to support program management decisions.
Education/Experience:
• Must have a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Math, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or other relevant field.• 3-6 years of work experience.
Specific/Preferred Requirements:
• Working knowledge of Systems Engineering and CM concepts, documentation, methodologies, best practices, and tools such as CMPRO and Jira.• Working knowledge of MIL-STD-961, MIL-STD 963, and MIL-STD-31000 and ASME (e.g., Y14 Series, etc.) documentation.
• Must have a Secret security clearance
