About the Role and about You:
The Director of Training is responsible for developing, managing, and overseeing all training programs for flight crew, ground personnel, and other operational staff to maintain compliance with all regulations applicable to Advanced Air, LLC's current operations and future operations as the Advanced Air grows. This position ensures that all training materials, instructors, and programs meet FAA approval standards, and that personnel maintain the necessary qualifications and proficiency for safe and efficient operations.

What you will do:
• Develop, implement, and maintain FAA-approved training programs for flight crew, ground, and dispatch personnel in accordance with US Federal Regulations, applicable Foreign Regulations and audit standards.
• Provide expertise, guidance, and project management for new operating regulations as the company evolves.
• Ensure compliance with all FAA training requirements and coordinate directly with the company's assigned Principal Operations Inspector (POI).
• Maintain all training records and documentation to FAA standards.
• Schedule, track, and manage recurrent, initial, and upgrade training for pilots and other safety-sensitive employees.
• Oversee ground and flight instructor training, records and activities
• Oversee the qualification, standardization, and performance of company instructors and check airmen.
• Coordinate with the Director of Operations, Chief Pilot, Director of Flight Support and Director of Maintenance to ensure operational readiness and training alignment.
• Conduct internal audits of training programs to ensure continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain training manuals and update them as required by regulation or company policy changes.
• Represent the company during FAA audits, inspections, and evaluations related to training.
• Develop and manage the training budget.
• Travel as required to maintain an adequate level of knowledge of Advanced Air, LLC's operations and provide training oversight of various teams.
• Remain Qualified as a Check Airman in at least one aircraft type that Advanced Air Operates and serve as a line qualified pilot on a limited basis to maintain proficiency and assist at times to cover trips.
RequirementsWhat we are looking for:
• 4-5 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree in aviation administration or relevant field
• Experience developing and maintaining FAA-approved training programs.
• FAA Commercial Pilot or ATP certificate preferred (with appropriate type ratings if applicable).
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Special Requirements:
• Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, including a background check; must also submit to random drug and alcohol tests during employment when required
