Description
OverviewAs a Compliance Associate based in our Shanghai office, you'll help ensure trading activity in China complies with local regulations. You will collaborate closely with Traders, Technology, and Operations from the Compliance desk, providing timely guidance and post - trade monitoring.
This role is intentionally junior and built for growth. You'll receive hands - on mentorship from a senior compliance lead, a structured ramp plan, and increasing ownership of defined controls and projects with visibility across APAC. In this role, you will gain direct exposure to multi - asset trading (equities, fixed income, futures/ETFs, commodities/options) in a market - making environment, in one of the largest global prop trading firms.
What you'll do
- Monitor and assess regulatory developments, evaluate applicability, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Help with compliance review on trade/account related document, QFI documents, regulatory reporting document etc.
- Support and coordinate with internal stakeholders on various compliance matters e.g. risk and control reviews, training, surveillance, new business initiatives, and incident management.
- Assist company legal and compliance in corporate governance matters as needed.
- Support BAU compliance matters for APAC Compliance team where applicable
- Assist in product advisory and onshore entity general compliance matters.
What we're looking for
- Finance, Legal or relevant Bachelor and/or Masters education in with strong IT literacy.
- 1 to 3 years professional experience within Financial Services
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin
- Prior exposure to equity and/or derivative markets preferred.
- Strong conceptual understanding of IT compliance systems, including development, review, and testing.
- Developed interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence senior trading staff.
