Description
Your roleAre you passionate about macroeconomics and financial markets, and are eager in developing your career as an investor?
We are seeking a junior Portfolio Manager to support our multi-asset investment capabilities in Asia. You will work closely with senior portfolio managers globally, applying your analytical skills and market insights to help drive performance and deliver innovative solutions for our clients. This person will join our Active Multi-Asset team, providing an unique hands-on opportunity to deepen your expertise in cross-asset investment, contribute to strategic and tactical decision-making, and develop a strong foundation for navigating a globally integrated investment platform.
• portfolio Implementation & Execution: assist portfolio managers in translating investment ideas into actionable trades, while ensuring accuracy and timeliness of trade execution
• performance & Risk Analytics: actively monitoring positioning and performance, conducting attribution and competitor analysis to support PM decision-making
• research & Analysis: conduct macroeconomic and cross-asset research (equities, credit, duration, FX, alternatives) to support investment discussions
• data Analytics: develop, maintain, and leverage data tools and quantitative techniques to understand market trends, risk factors, and portfolio metrics
• idea Generation: contribute innovative investment ideas and solutions, demonstrating the ability to think outside the box
• reporting: support preparation of regular and ad-hoc reports, presentations, and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders
• collaboration: work closely with stakeholders across functions
Your team
You'll be working in the Active Multi-Asset team located in Hong Kong, responsible for the management of regional and global multi-asset portfolios for Asian and international clients. Our team is part of a globally integrated investment platform, managing USD $120bn across multi-asset capabilities.
Your expertise
• bachelor's or master's degree in quantitative disciplines, finance, or economics preferred. Progress toward or completion of CFA preferred
• experience with programming language (Python, R) and data visualization tools preferred
• ideally at least 3 years' relevant experience within the financial sector, preferably in investment/research or multi-asset disciplines
• strong interest in capital markets and good understanding of macroeconomics, solid knowledge in one or more asset classes is preferred
• self-starter, demonstrating initiative, competitiveness, and a drive for continuous improvement
• ability to work independently and excel in collaborative, team-based settings. Thrive in a high-paced environment with good organisational skills
• fluency in English, Mandarin, and/or Cantonese required due to this role will serve local clients
• proficiency in data analysis tools and platforms (Excel, Python, Bloomberg, Factset, Morningstar)
