Description
As an Associate in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Regulatory Compensation team, you will be responsible for monitoring and implementing EMEA remuneration regulations that impact the Firm's businesses and functions across the region. This encompasses regulations affecting both the banking and investment / asset management industries in the UK, EU and across EMEA, including CRD V, IFPR, AIFMD and UCITS V regulations. Your responsibilities will include managing remuneration policies and processes, remuneration governance, regulatory reporting and disclosures.Job responsibilities
- Supports the annual review of "material risk taker" (MRT) identification methodology and day-to-day management of the MRT population
- Prepares / reviews of quantitative and qualitative regulatory submissions
- Prepares / reviews of public remuneration disclosures
- Updates applicable Remuneration Policies in line with relevant regulations and practice
- Prepares Board and Remuneration Committee materials on remuneration governance matters
- Drafts responses to regulators on remuneration practices and processes
- Monitors external regulatory developments and assess impact for the Firm
- Maintains and implements up to date policies and procedures
- Partners on regulatory remuneration matters within HR, and for Control Function partners and the business
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Ability to distil and articulate simply complex regulatory matters
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including advanced Excel
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Pro-active approach to project management and prioritising work-load
- Proven ability to work independently with broad range of stakeholders
- Thorough attention to detail
- Pro-active in raising issues and identifying opportunities for process improvements
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Experience presenting to or preparing materials for senior executive management or Board level
- Experience working in HR regulatory or compensation teams
