Description
We are seeking an Analyst, Fiscal to support the organization’s Fiscal operations. The job of Fiscal Analyst is done for the purpose/s of providing and maintaining accurate financial records in the accounting system; completing assigned activities/services related to grants receivable and complying with accounting and audit procedures.
This job reports to Director, Accounting Compliance.

Essential Functions
Administers accounting activities, as assigned for the purpose of monitoring revenues, expenditures and reconciling activities.
Analyzes systems, Federal and State policies and/or procedures for the purpose of improving the Agency's business practices and efficiencies.
Attends workshops, in-service training, meetings, etc. for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions and maintaining professional development.
Audits fiscal documents and program information for the purpose of ensuring accuracy and compliance with program regulations and grant requirements.
Compiles statistical and financial data from a variety of sources for the purpose of providing information and/or ensuring compliance with established Federal, State, and local regulations.
Coordinates with other staff for the purpose of completing assigned duties accurately and in a timely manner.

Maintains a variety of manual and electronic documents, files, and records for the purpose of providing an up-to-date reference, reconciliation, budget management, and compliance audits.
Monitors assigned activities (e.g., general fund electronic accounting system, fiscal program information, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial, legal, administrative and/or program standards, budget, and grant/contract requirements.
Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Prepares written materials and reports, including SEFA, FFR, SPI1135E, for the purpose of obtaining necessary agency funding, managing cash flow, documenting activities, conveying information and/or complying with state and federal regulations.
Processes financial information for the purpose of ensuring the accuracy of reported information and the availability of funds in compliance with state and/or federal regulations.
Researches discrepancies of financial information and/or documentation for the purpose of ensuring accurate and complete subsidiary and general ledger accounts.
Responds to inquiries from a variety of external and internal customers for the purpose of providing information or direction related to grant and accounting procedures.
Serves as a liaison with external parties as assigned (e.g., King County, banks, actuaries, state examiners, investment advisors, Office of Superintendent of Public Instructions, Office of State Auditor, Federal and State agencies, etc.) for the purpose of providing necessary information and documentation.
Utilizes various billing platforms for the purpose of reimbursement claims and maintaining agency user profiles.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field; (AA, HS/GED and progressively responsible job-related work experience may substitute for degree)
- Progressively responsible experience in accounting.
- Progressively responsible experience in grant related work.
- Experience providing programmatic support in relaying information.
- Experience interpreting and applying organizational, state or federal grant regulations.
- Demonstrated commitment to equitable and inclusive practices.
- Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, delegation, collaboration and customer service skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, OneDrive, Teams and communication platforms.
- Spreadsheet and database management experience, including data entry, manipulation, analysis and/or report creation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Progressively responsible experience in Accounts Receivable.
- Experience developing and/or implementing adult learning sessions, training procedures and processes.
- Experience working in a public agency including school district environment.
- Ability to work as an active team member and independently.
- Certification in Grants Management preferred.
