Description
Being part of HSBC in Switzerland, you'll help evolve and grow our business.The Analyst will report directly to the Sector Head for Institutions Clients in Switzerland and work closely with Global Relationship Bankers to manage a portfolio of leading Switzerland and Liechtenstein headquartered institutional clients. What you will do:
As a key member of a small and high performing team the focus will be on revenue generation while ensuring that all activities align with HSBC's risk appetite and maintaining a high standard of conduct.
The main objective is for the role-holder to contribute to the continued development of client relationships in Switzerland and Liechtenstein which are strategically important jurisdictions for the global CIB franchise.
The ideal candidate is expected to be a strong team player with a focus on collective success and a proactive mindset.
In this role you will:
- Supporting the Relationship Managers and Senior Bankers in their daily activities
- Identify marketing opportunities, undertaking appropriate analysis and preparation of proposals, presentations and pitches for new products and services
- Ensure prompt and appropriate response to customer enquiries and concerns, through problem solving and facilitating the process by liaising with product and support areas
- Develop a strong sectorial knowledge and product expertise (e.g. DCM, M&A, Structured Financing, Global Payment Solutions, Securities Services, Global Trade Solutions, Global Markets, Asset Management)
- Contribute to achievement against targets for revenue generation, product alignment, customer satisfaction and cost containment
- Work with the Relationship Managers in preparing credit applications, profitability calculations, annual credit reviews and keeping various databases up to date
- Supporting the KYC process, including monitoring and following up on pending items
- Take an active role in initiatives outside of own role; proactively seeking different assignments to accelerate learning
You should apply if you have
- Initial relevant experience in banking with a background in Relationship Management or a related field
- Degree in relevant discipline (Finance, Accounting etc) and/or other similar qualification (e.g. CFA)
- Written and spoken English fluency, second language fluency in German, French or Italian is a plus
- Strong team player demonstrating a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational and multi-tasking skills and willingness to be a driven self-starter
- Being proactive, autonomous, self-motivated and able to succeed in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to establish rapport with appropriate members on the client side and with internal stakeholder
- Very good numerical and analytical skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong IT skills (including Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc)
