Join JPMorgan Chase, a global leader in financial services, as a Associate on the Strategic Artificial Intelligence Governance & Enablement (SAIGE) team in APAC. The SAIGE team is dedicated to driving operational efficiencies and supporting the firm's AI/ML objectives by promoting innovation and upholding the highest ethical and regulatory standards. In this important role, you will support the firm's AI/ML strategy, focusing on governance, enablement, and regulatory compliance across the APAC region. You will assist in enabling transformational initiatives, developing governance frameworks and tools, and ensuring alignment with both internal standards and external regulatory requirements.Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and execution of AI governance frameworks, policies, and standards to promote responsible use of AI/ML, including generative and agentic models.
- Support the operationalization of the AI strategy for governance, enablement, and regulatory compliance in APAC, ensuring alignment with global and regional business goals.
- Monitor and interpret evolving AI/ML regulations across APAC, analyze their implications, and contribute to the firm's response.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and global regulations, promoting responsible AI and continuous improvement of governance standards.
- Identify opportunities for AI/ML adoption, assist in removing barriers, and support the delivery of innovative solutions.
- Help identify, assess, and mitigate AI-related risks, such as model risk, data privacy, fairness, and ethics, collaborating with risk and control teams.
- Contribute actively in cross-functional project teams and assist in developing best practices for AI/ML enablement and governance.
- Support senior leadership by providing insights on AI/ML strategy, governance, and regulatory matters.
- Build and maintain relationships with business, technology, risk, and compliance stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of AI governance excellence across APAC.
- Analyze global and APAC AI regulations and trends, contributing to relevant responses and interventions.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and relevant experience in AI/ML governance, model risk management, or regulatory compliance.
- Formal training or certification on AI/ML governance, model risk management and 5+ years of experience in a similar role
- Understanding of the APAC regulatory landscape for AI/ML, including familiarity with key regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
- Experience assisting in the development and implementation of governance frameworks and policies for AI/ML.
- Familiarity with leading machine learning frameworks.
- Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and contribute to shared goals.
- Analytical mindset paired with good communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience in the Financial Services industry, particularly in APAC.
- Exposure to implementing Generative AI, Large Language Models, Agentic AI, or AI guardrails.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards impacting AI/ML technologies.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration, including influencing stakeholders and working with diverse teams.
- Prior experience in a global or regional context is a plus
