Our Demand Side Management (DSM) team works with our Commercial customers to help them use natural gas more efficiently. We are looking for a motivated, technical individual to join our Commercial Sales team serving various Commercial sectors.
As Advisor Energy Solutions, you will successfully deliver Enbridge's Energy Conservation programs directly to customers and affiliated business partners, through direct management and cultivation of positive working relationships with specific customers and segments, meeting or exceed assigned energy conservation targets.

Note: This role will be primarily responsible for delivering our Commercial Energy Conservation Programs to multiple sectors such as, but not limited to, Municipalities, Schools, Hospitals, LTCs, MURBs, and Affordable Housing customers across Southwestern Ontario.
What You Will Do
- Work independently to find/deliver technical solutions and complete custom energy efficiency calculations for assigned accounts.
- Establish and build operational and technical relationships with customers, at all levels in the organization, aimed at building long-term trust and commitment from the customer to achieve natural gas usage reduction targets.
- Establish alliances with business partners (i.e., contractors, equipment suppliers, manufacturers, engineering consultants, etc.) to facilitate the development and implementation of energy efficiency projects.
- Proactive outreach to assigned accounts and ability to conduct site walk-throughs to assist customers with the identification, business screening, and technical evaluation of potential energy conservation opportunities.
- Assist in identifying key threats and opportunities in the delivery of the Commercial and/or Affordable Housing programs for assigned segments.
- Provide market intelligence and insights to the internal program design team to assist in the adjustment to current program offerings and the development of future energy conservation programs.
- Develop, update, and execute annual account plans for assigned territory and customers.
- Provide accurate and timely personal outlooks and forecasts for the current year energy conservation delivery results.
- Work cooperatively with team members and cross-boundary colleagues to complete assigned work safely, accurately, and on time while supporting company values and demonstrating key competencies.
- Timely implementation of projects into DSM tracking systems of all potential, active and completed projects that are verifiable and capable of withstanding the audit and verification process and provide specific support during customer audit verification process as required.
- Attend and present energy efficiency programs at customer meetings, applicable trade shows, energy forums, and events. Promote energy conservation and represent the Enbridge brand successfully.
Who You Are
- University degree in engineering (preferably (preferred in mechanical, chemical or electrical Engineering). For candidates who do not possess a university degree, an additional 3-years of related experience is required.
- Minimum four or more years of project engineering or project management and sales experience in commercial sector environments.
- Experienced with energy management, demand side management, and sustainability principles.
- Understanding of commercial HVAC systems and design with strong technical and analytical aptitude.
- Self-motivated, self-starter, and able to operate independently but work with a team of like-minded professionals.
- Customer and results focused.
- Proven time management skills and ability to coordinate multiple projects while managing personal time.
- Superior written and verbal communication ability and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Confident presenter and public speaker with strong relationship-building, problem-solving skills, and negotiation skills.

- Comfortable working with Microsoft office suite, SharePoint, Teams, etc.
- Preferred candidates are members within the Professional Engineers of Ontario, are Certified Energy Managers, and/or are Certified Measurement and Verification Professionals.
Working Conditions
- This role is a mix of office based (50%) and field based (50%) and requires travelling mainly within Ontario including overnight. Requires a valid Ontario G class driver's license and will be verified with a drvier's abstract prior to hire.
- Regular visits to customer facilities and job sites to assess energy efficiency opportunities on a weekly basis.
