Working as part of the Finance Team, the primary job function of the Accounting Clerk is the day-to-day accounting functions for the agency.
Code and enter all accounts payable invoices for entire agency, allocate costs to appropriate programs and detailed descriptions when performing data entry.
Manages and maintains the cash receipts for the entire agency including reconciling, posting the weekly deposit, and posting all electronic payments received through Vendor Web.
Manage and maintain the childcare parent fees accounting including weekly billing, payments, and reconciliation against monthly EEC billing.
Collects billing details and manages monthly billing for the agency’s rate-based contracts.
Billing process includes collecting and organizing billing data throughout the month, creating productivity spreadsheets, and reconciling balances to verify accuracy.
Creates and posts journal entries to allocate costs and reconcile discrepancies.
Qualification Requirements:
Minimum of 3 months to 1-year experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
Proficiency in Excel. Knowledge of Sage Intacct or similar accounting system helpful.
Knowledge of the accounting cycle.
Strong reconciliation, analytical and problem-solving skills, detail oriented and team player.
