Description

This role is broad and the team is responsible for preparing the Financial Statements and Internal Management Accounts for a number of entities, whose principal activity is the marketing of Oil, LNG, NatGas, Power, and Environmental Products, within The businesses Oil Marketing segment. The department ensures the timely and accurate reporting of monthly management accounts to Head Office (enabling Group consolidation) and to London Management (enabling local decision-making). The team is also involved in various projects and development work, seeking to continuously improve the robustness of our control environment and efficiency of our processes.

We are seeking a recently qualified accountant, ideally, you will have some commodities exposure but given the breadth of the role and the continuous training and development you will receive it isn't a pre-requisite. The business operates a hybrid working model with 3 days in the office in Mayfair, London UK, and 2 WFH.

• Advising front and middle office on accounting treatments for new and existing business

• Supporting information requests from front office traders

• P/L and balance sheet reconciliations

• Inventory & Broker reconciliations

• Intercompany reconciliations - reconciling and agreeing the intercompany balances

• Analysing debtors and creditors (to include ageing analysis)

• Liaise with Auditors on both management and statutory audits
